Meo Vac is a rural district of Ha Giang Province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2019, the district had a population of 86 071. The district covers an area of 574 km². The district capital lies at Meo Vac is a small town but charming district capital hemmed in by steep karst mountains and, like many towns in the northwestern area. Tours to Meo Vac go passing the spectacular Mai Pi Leng Pass, which winds for 22km from Dong Van, is the main attraction in Ha Giang. The way has been divided into the side of a cliff with a view of rippling hills tumbling down to the distant waters of the Nho Que River far below. Right at the top of the pass is a lookout point where you can stop to take in the scenery.
Ha Giang Province is a mountainous area in the north of Vietnam where is covered more than 7,884 sq km, to share the border with Tuyen Quang province in the South, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces in the West, Cao Bang in the North-west, Yun Nam, and Quang Xi provinces (China) in the North with a borderline of over 274 km in length.
